Mary Margaret Quisenberry (Hodges)

Mary Margaret Quisenberry Hodges passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 16, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born in November of 1954 in Pearisburg, Virginia to her parents Ernest L. Quisenberry, III and Eunice Bishop Quisenberry. She was a 1973 graduate of Bay High School in Panama City, Florida and she received an Associate Degree in Real Estate from Gulf Coast State College in December of 1974. Mary Margaret married Patrick K. Hodges in October of 1976. Mary Margaret is survived by her husband, Patrick Hodges; her children, Parker and Maggie Hodges; her brother, Michael Quisenberry; her sister, Julie Quisenberry Paeplow; and her brother- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins on both sides. She was predeceased by her father, Ernest L. Quisenberry, III and her mother, Eunice Bishop Quisenberry. 

Mary Margaret had a successful career as a partner in the Patrick Hodges Land Studio for 25 years and as a Finance Manager at Hatch Mott MacDonald for 10 years. Mary Margaret was known for her tremendous empathy and kindness, her devotion to her family and friends, her beauty, and her sense of humor. She never met a stranger and had a way of instantly connecting with everyone she met. She loved swapping stories and in every sphere of her life, she created strong circles of friendship and brought joy to all she encountered. She loved with everything she had and showed incredible strength and courage through life's challenges, acting as a rock for those who depended on her. Mary Margaret had a special spot in her heart for animals, coming to the rescue of many throughout her life, and she instilled this same capacity for compassion in others, including her children. 

A visitation will be at 4 pm on Saturday, August 22nd at Wilson Funeral Home, 214 Airport Road, Panama City, Florida. The visitation will be followed by a memorial service at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or a local animal shelter of choice.
