Charlene Williams (Conrad)

Charlene Williams Conrad, 58, of Southport, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. 

Charlene was born in Mobile, AL, and lived most of her life in Bay County. She was a 1973 graduate of Bay High School, and worked for several title companies in Bay County. Charlene enjoyed gardening, cooking, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended St. Andrew Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of over 39 years, Fred Conrad of Southport; her children, Bryan and Julie Conrad, both of Panama City and Lance, Kevin, and Kirsten Conrad, all of Southport; her mother, Julia Williams of Panama City; 4 sisters, Jeanell Thompson and husband Jimmy, Priscilla Taylor, Renona Foster and husband James and Deni McGraw and husband Rey, all of Panama City; her grandchildren, Claudia, Addison, Joslyn and Bryson Conrad, all of Panama City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will begin at 6:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the St. Andrew Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Claunch officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 PM until service time at 6:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charlene's name may be made to either the Margaret K. Lewis School, or to Covenant Hospice.

Charlene passed away in October of 2013. She was the grandmother to two children that we had at Southport Elementary.   Charlene was a friend of mine during my years at Bay High.   Unfortunately, we lost contact and I never knew that she was one of my grandparents to children where I teach.
